This is the gateway of Himalayan treks from where the trek to Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli and Tehri Garhwal begins. Kunjapuri day trek, Nag Tibba trek, Dashrath ka Danda trek and Mahadev Chatti trek are popular among the local treks of Rishikesh which are completed in 1 night/2 days.

What clothing should I carry for the Char Dham Yatra in different seasons?

For **May-June**, carry light to moderate warm clothing, a light jacket, and rain gear. For **September-October**, carry heavy woolens, thermal wear, and a good quality warm jacket as temperatures can drop significantly. Always pack comfortable walking shoes and rain protection.

What are the trekking distances to Kedarnath and Yamunotri?

The trek to **Kedarnath** is approximately 16-18 km from Gaurikund/Sonprayag. The trek to **Yamunotri** is about 6 km from Janki Chatti. Both treks can be done on foot, or by hiring ponies, palanquins (palki), or doli services, which we can arrange.
